I’ve been meaning to write this blog for about a month now. Time just keeps slipping away from me.

As I mentioned in a recent social media post, 2017 was hard. I struggled to get through it for multiple reasons. When I reflected on the year, I wasn’t happy. I was floating through life rather than truly living it.

At that realization, I quickly wanted a change especially going into this year. I created a list of things to measure 2018 with:

Really, this is a list the Lord gave me. I call it my 2018 pillars.

I want to be able to strive for these things this year. I want to be able to describe my 2018 using these 6 words.

Here are a few things that have already happened this year that I would describe with at least one of these words:

  • Welcomed home S Squad at PSL! The joy and love S Squad pour out continues to astound me!

  • Launched a new World Race squad (shout out to E Squad!)

  • Road tripped to Knoxville, TN with 3 squadmates to go to the wedding of another squadmate. It. Was. Beautiful!

  • Booked a vacation (probably my first ever legit vacation since being an adult) to SWITZERLAND!!! I’m going in May with my roommate! So. Excited!

  • I also just recently got approved to go to Rwanda for a PVT in February!

Y’all, this year already feels better than the last. I’m not saying I have everything together. (Because I 100% DO. NOT.) But, I won’t let myself fall back into last year’s cycles.

Through everything though, I see the Lord. I see Him working in celebrations and even through trials. I thank the Lord for His hands creating the masterpiece of my life. I’ve realized that everything in life teaches you somethings. So I’m trying to learn and grow, striving for those lessons at all times.

One of the hardest things in the past 3 years of working at Adventures is fundraising. I’m asked to raise $6,000 per year. Last year was the only year I was able to do that. And, by the grace of God (and the organization) I’ve been able to keep my job.

But, to keep my job this year I need another $250 monthly. Honestly, that’s not a lot! I know the Lord has a grand plan in place for me through all the struggles I’ve had with fundraising.

So here’s the deal – I’m having a raffle!!!

To Enter:

  • Pick a box above to support me monthly at $50, $40, $20, or $10. (Use the “Donate” link on the left.)

  • Message, email, or text me once you’ve made a monthly donation to be entered.

  • This automatically enters you into a raffle. (Your name is entered for every $10 – if you donate $50 monthly your name will be entered 5 times!)

  • Raffle drawing will be held in 2 weeks (February 11th).

  • Again, all entries are MONTHLY donations.

What is the prize of the raffle?

Well, that’s yet to be determined! But it’s going to be good! It could be a gift from Rwanda and Switzerland. It could be a batch of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies each month for a year! It could be a custom piece of art from me! It could be a visit from me!!! (I will drive/fly to you!!) It could be all of those things! Who knows!

We have 2 weeks, let’s go!
