The Struggle
I want to be real with y’all.
I might lose my job.
As a part of my job I have to raise $6,000 a year. Honestly, that’s not that much and it’s less than what some others working in the organization raise.
However, I don’t currently have the supporters needed to get to that mark. I am below the mark for my own fundraising and the mark where everyone should be within the office.
Within the past month I’ve been asked over 5 times if this is where the Lord has me. It’s frustrating to hear that so often and for funds not coming in to be the basis of the Lord not wanting me here.
But, the Lord has spoken clearly to me in the past that I would be here for years. I don’t know the exact number of years, but I know I’m supposed to stay until He tells me to go – no one else.
As a World Race mobilizer, I get to talk to those starting an application all the way until they launch on the field. From there I get to talk to their parents as they prepare for Parent Vision Trips and then I get to go on those trips. I am able to lead parents and racers for a week abroad.
My favorite part of my job isn’t the travel, the phone calls, or emails. My favorite part is the relationships I get to build and grow with participants. I’m here for the participants. I love to be able to fight for a participant to come to training camp if they are under their goal and trying everything they have. I love being able to talk to a participant who is doubting if this is where they need to be or if it’s another direction. I love being able to be completely myself at training camp and the participants don’t judge me. I love being a vessel of the Lord to speak to someone who needs to hear His voice.
And if I can speak truth and encouragement over at least one person a day, I know the Lord has me here.
That is the reason I write this now. I need help. I need monthly supporters that will help this call on my life here and now. In the next 6 months, I need $800 monthly (or about $4,700 total).

My prayers are with you. I hope our small gift will help. I especially hope you get your monthly commitments and regret that we are unable to commit at this time as we are planning to launch ourselves in the mission field this June and are still shy of our goal as well. But I know God will do great things when we live by faith. Blessings!!!
Ricci, hope your funding starts rolling in….you do an awesome job for AIM and i pray that you will be able to remain as a staff member. I certainly appreciate all you did for us on our PVT to Swaziland and for all you do for the racers….hope my donation helps! (Ruthie)
